Braking problems
Not a very successful day, started on the rear drivers side wheel to remove the cylinder and rebuild it, but noticed that one of the brake springs is very loose, it does not have any tension in it. This is the smaller diameter one with two coils at either end and the straight bit in the middle. Then my jack broke so I had it stuck on an axle stand and had to borrow another jack!

Set about removing the rusty skin from the drivers door this evening but not before investigating the rust holes in the bottom corner of the frame first. Removed the wire mesh, foam and filler and this is what I was left with. Yep, more welding! Very Happy

New Dashboard- Stereo and warning lights
After a couple of trial and error fixes, finalised a design for a stereo fitment and auxilliary warnng lights in the right hand glovebox aperture, with the glovebox door closed it looks standard

well good news on the fan front. i emailed kenlowe last night, and got a reply first thing this morning asking for a serial number.

took a picture of the fan (showing its serial no.) and sent it back to them. the chap phoned me 2 minutes later and said he'll post me a whole new control unit as a warranty replacement Very Happy

I should have it by the weekend! Then i've just got to swap the units over and post him back the old one for a post mortem!
