I want to replace the main fuel line from tank to carb, but can't get the old pipe away from the tank. I have cleaned the brass fitting and used the best part of a can of Plus Gas, but it won't shift. The hex is getting somewhat rounded now! Obviously can't use heat. Any suggestions on how to achieve this?
Being brass it's very easy to deform the fitting, which just makes it worse. A good fitting socket )or slightly smaller) is best now that the pipe is cut. Only a torque is applied rather than a clamping force too.
