Replacing broken/missing stud on Hockey stick

Finishing, Windows, Hoods & Trav wood etc
A quick guide to replace a missing/broken stud,

replacement stud 2ba bolt ( make sure its long enough) 1 inch
Quick steel or aradite,
putty knife or similar
screwdriver
2ba nut and washer
spanner
Hacksaw,
vice or similar

if the stud has snapped and still in the hockey stick soak well for at least 24 hrs in penetrating oil (not wd40)

remove damage stud, you may also damage the housing, which is where the quicksteel comes in,

follow the instructions for the product you use
mix it well and push into mounting get good coverage smooth it out with putty knife and drop of water(spit) add abit to stud,

put nut on stud and run it near to head, screw stud into moulding firm but not to tight, put hockey stick somewhere warm for 24 hrs (on top of boiler)

when cured remove head of screw with hacksaw and vice,
run nut off end of threads, file gently if required

replace nut with washer, and refit to car

same procedure can be used for the top rail.
