Acquired this yesterday for MG. Think its a midget 1275 as it has numbers stamped on block and clutch plate is not minor.
Going to put it in and see what happens.

What engine numbers does it have? Midget 1098cc ones usually start 10CC...., while 1275cc ones start with 12C/12CE.....

1098cc ones have the side tappet chest covers on the inlet side, 1275cc blocks are solid walled.

Does not have an engine number as there is no plate.

Had a look tonight and there are no covers block is solid so its a 1275 just as I thought. :D :D

Managed to progress a bit more over the weekend.
Finished welding the strengthening plates and repaired the rear wings and also welded up part of the indicator hole on front wings. :D
Did not go out today as garage was freezing and my stove is broke. :(

Beautiful! I think I was going with black interior - it's all on hold at the moment due to lack of funds/interest....
