Just as you get think you're close, something else comes and kicks you in the nuts. While not that difficult to overcome it's just frustrating.... Arrrrrgh.

My timing to do these upgrades feels like a bad decision while the season is upon us. Still, onwards and upwards.

as you said, "It's all wrong, but Soooo right"

Glad you enjoyed it Paul and you've summed it up perfectly with your post. It's probably 3/4's sorted so more to come, just needed to get it driveable in preparation for Carfest next week but afterwards it will again come off the road in order to get things corrected in readiness for another Rollin Road set up and then a Charity Track Day.

By Jobe It is fun though. :D

Had another week of wee challenges and deadlines.

Opted to forego this weekend's visit to Goodwood with the PU and concentrate on getting it ready (hopefully.!) for next weeks final Rollin Road Tune when we can extract every inch of BHP/Torque from the new set up.

Won't be as much as many other Modified Vehicles on here but still enough to make you think.

Will keep you followers/interested parties updated of next weeks results with a few pics.

Went off to Toovey Race Engines, Cannock, yesterday (16th Sept) for a Rolling Road tune up in order to maximise the BHP and Ft lbs of Torque for the upgraded engine fitted into PU earlier this year along with a gearbox upgrade to a Quaife 6 Speed Sequential gearbox.

Tune Up managed to extract a 25% uplift in BHP and 20% in Torque, which isn't arf bad for an old Twink.

Trip was fully worth it even if it does make you wince a little when it's repeatedly taken to full power. (although we've set the rev limiter a little below the red line, but 8200 rpm isn't to be sniffed at)

Trip was fully worth it as the change in performance is phenomenal and if it wasn't an angry little thing before, it's now a raging lunatic.... :D

I've posted a video clip on the MMO Facebook page but here are some pics of PU being strapped down getting ready to rock...

Horrace, of JLH fame, followed PU onto the rollers and the outcome was unbelievable but you'll have to view his topic and clip to discover more.....

Thanks Woody for rotating Pic. (note to self, don't post on MMO when doing handstand.!)

Attended the Hinckley Car Show yesterday with my mate Paul of 'WAP347 The Resurrection' thread fame.
Unfortunately we got split up so were unable to park both Moggies together (like Old Times) but still had an entertaining time.

Here's a pic of PU (name for this Lotus Minor Pick Up) from yesterdays show in it's glory after just receiving a well earned clean after Fridays Rolling Road tune.

Attended the 'Hope for Tomorrow' charity track day at Castle Combe Friday 30th Sept.

Jonno (JLH) attended with 'Horrace' his 350 BHP Track Day Minor, and two Richards who both have nearly identical Blue Travellers apart from one being Zetec powered and the other K-Series.
Weather was really kind with only a small shower in the afternoon although this shower gave Richard H in his K-Series Traveller a moment....

Have posted a photo on the MMO Facebook site along with a 'Blink and You'll miss It' video, but for those not on FB here's a photo of a rose between two thorns (not really.!)

It was a great day and has wetted my appetite for more Track Days, probably in 2017.
