new adventures of Arthur said--What a load of sh*#e!!!!!

Is that the music Phil ?or the car were talking about ?-if it's the music, couldn't agree more, each to their own.

BUT NOT the car (subject of the thread) surely mate that's defo a bit of motoring history there , no matter what your personal design tastes are, it's stood the test of time imho and is a true classic in both senses.

Nah, was referring to the song!! :D

That would have been pretty offensive of me to come on to someone's thread and insult their car!!!!
Whether its got tits or tyres, it'll give you trouble.

Aye, weren't the 70's great. I'm just surprised that the car wasn't covered in murals matching the record cover (now there's a thought - BOB :D ).
I certainly know that at least one of the builders of the car was a frequent concert goer - his car  (minor) was called Southern Comfort.

Yes Pete as you say- they were great in lots of ways, but really glad some of the art and music has not been repeated too much. Even now some things get me wondering whatever started things off in that direction.

Phil, didn't think for one min mate that you'd do that honest-you do not come over as that way at all-in fact quite the opposite really- and its just fantastic your helping, fantastic mate.

No movement just now. I've got my LS1 minor farmed out to be completed, and an about to re commence work on my son's twin cam minor. In the better weather I'll be taking the body off the chassis to continue work. Don't worry, I'll get round to it as my plan is to have my 3 projects finished this year.

Helped by my son, we moved Astral Traveller in to the garage. We first had to move Mabel out, then put it back in again. I'll be hopefully finishing Mabel off over the winter whilst thinking about the way forward with Astral Traveller.

Wasn't enough to keep it dry hence the tarpaulin.

That can't be right, Mythbusters made a boat out of duct tape!

(Actually I use it on my big convertible if going for a long drive in the rain, otherwise I get a bit of water coming in over the top of the windscreen at 100kph)

Had a quick look at what's under the vinyl roof - really impressed so far as it's not rusty (just surface in places). A surprise too that the glue is still tacky :o
I'll get around to taking sunroof out soon then take the rest of the vinyl off. I've already got an insert to replace it (courtesy of Andy).

I decided to take the vinyl roof off today, and remove the furry headlining.
Anyone wanting a piece of 70's history, please ask :D
