Custom Morris Minor Pickup - A few pictures to start off

Anything goes - chassis, V6's, V8's etc.
Well, a year away from any significant progress and now back to finish off hopefully this year.

Can anyone advise me on fitting for 2l Fiat twin cam speedo cable to Morris speedo. I have spoken to Speedy Cables and they want to know the size of the thread on the gearbox. How can I find that out without buying loads of nuts and seeing which fit?

if its a fiat box you need to measure across the threads with a caliper or similar as it's most likely metric this will give you the size, then you need to establish wether is coarse or fine, i would think fine as it will be a large thread, cannot guy croft help you he's the fiat guru, best i can offer,

Strange as when I was getting my cabel done I just phoned speedy Cabels and said it was minor to fiat and the apron length and 4 days latter I had a cabel
I would phone them again as they must have some thing on record as to what size the nut is on the fiat box ???

Well it's been some time now since the last post but thanks to Jimmy at Valley Gas Speed Shop in Andover....we are making progress! Trim to be properly fixed yet but you get the idea.

After a paint...and a repaint nine months later she is beginning to look how I imagined all those years ago. Now have a goal to complete by April 2016 and start driving.

Looking great - nice work! 8)

I would be inclined to either paint the exhaust tailpipes or fit some stainless steel trim covers though, as they let the overall smart appearance down a tad. ;)

Thanks. That's a temporary exhaust so that I could get the design right.

Great to see you've re-kindled the build and even better being a Pick-Up ;)

followed your thread with much interest last time and at the 2015 NEC Classic Car show I was talking to the Valley Gas chaps about it apart from their 32 Deuce which I have to say is a favourite of mine.

April's always a good time to aim for completion as the unofficial season begins.

Keep posting the pic's.

I fitted a 'temporary' exhaust in mild steel to Muj when I resurrected it in around 2003 - guess what, it's still there and working well. I had intended to replace it with stainless later, but it's still lasting and showing no signs of failing:D
looks ok from behind though as the last 2 feet are stainless.

Reprs,
great to see your latest post on this project and see it coming along again.

Followed your thread with much interest while restoring mine as really appreciate the 'theme' you've followed with the restoration. Looking forward to seeing it on the road.
